Marty Gearheart is a lifelong resident of Bluefield, a graduate of Concord University and a battle tested conservative. Currently, he owns Gearheart Enterprises, a small business that specializes in commercial signs.
Marty was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2010 where he represents District 27 (most of Mercer County and part of Raleigh county). In the House, Marty is chair of the Roads and Transportation Committee, co-chair of the Joint Committee on Transportation Accountability and he serves on the Finance and Political Subdivisions committees.
Marty is a member of the West Virginia Republican State Executive Committee, former Vice Chair of the West Virginia Republican Party, and former chair and current member of the Mercer County Republican Executive Committee. Marty is a father to three children and grandfather to three grandchildren. He worships at Bland Street United Methodist Church.
